Blackburn the Innovator
In 1975, Jim Blackburn set out to design stronger, lighter and more reliable cycling products. The first items he created were touring bags and racks. Over the next 30 years, Blackburn's spark of innovation would lead to many revolutionary products. He designed the first high-quality aircraft-aluminum rack, the first dual-stroke mini-pump, the first large-volume mountain mini-pump and the first dual-stage/dual-stroke floor pump just to name a few.

All in the Design
Blackburn strives to make products that are more efficient, reliable, and easy to use. For example, Blackburn introduced dual-stroke internals in the original AirStik back in 1991. This technology delivers air on the push and pull strokes of the pump, which fills tires faster and easier. Also there's a high-volume mode that uses two air chambers to move the most air per stroke. Through thoughtful design like this in all their products, Blackburn gives you the best cycling experience possible.
